First Technician Darren Smith is the sole employee aboard Moon-Base One. At first glance he seems to be doing a pretty fine job, but as the show unravels so does Darren’s grip on reality.
A story of friendship and loneliness, set on the dark side of the moon. The show is very much inspired by Kurt Vonnegut's dark humour and Arthur C Clarke's 2001 Space Odyessy, and includes live drawings and absurd, existential musings- it's funny and heart-breaking all at the same time.

"A bit Mighty Boosh, a bit Red Dwarf. A deliciously silly and totally unscientific look at a man who's been sent mad by solitude" Fest Mag ****

“Witty and wonderfully weird” - Three Weeks ****

“Extraordinarily moving” - What's On Stage

Organiser

Alphabetti Theatre

Alphabetti Theatre is based in Newcastle Upon Tyne and was created by Ali Pritchard in 2012. We create, produce, and programme new, original work from emerging artists across the performing arts, championing work in Music, Theatre, Comedy and Poetry. We strive to make theatre that is relatable and accessible to all, and are constantly looking for new ways to challenge ourselves, physically, mentally and conceptually – we believe that by challenging ourselves we inevitably challenge the audience, creating engaging and original experiences.
