Ashton Court Estate (Cafe Courtyard), Bristol

Saturday, 13 Jul - Sunday, 14 Jul

Free - £17.08

Downpour Theatre Company is thrilled to present Shakespeare’s shortest play; the farcical yet witty, The Comedy of Errors. Let the cast transport you to the Byzantine Empire, as hilarity ensues when two sets of identical twins, separated by tragedy, find themselves unknowingly in the same city. Mistaken identities lead to unfair beatings, wrongful arrests and false accusations of infidelity, theft and madness.

Downpour Theatre Company is a small theatre company based in Gloucestershire and Bristol; founded in 2016 and named after a particularly damp final performance of our first production 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'. Although no strangers to open air theatre or Shakespeare, this is their first time performing at Bristol Shakespeare Festival.
